The 2005 Winner
America’s Junior Miss 2005, Kelli Schutz from Brandon, Mississippi, won a $50,000 cash scholarship on June 25. Kelli’s intelligence, self-assurance, charm, spirit and perseverance during the competition impressed the judges who awarded her the title of America’s Junior Miss.
Kelli won a total of $70,600 in cash scholarships through her participation in America’s Junior Miss - $10,100 from her local and state programs, $2500 for an "Outstanding Recipe" Award, $1000 each for interview and talent, $3000 for overall fitness and overall self expression and $50,000 for the national title.
Learning to balance a busy freshman year of college studying dance and pre-med at Southern Methodist University with her duties as America’s Junior Miss will be Kelli’s task this year. As America’s Junior Miss, she is in demand as a special guest at events across the nation and as an ambassador of AJM's Be Your Best Self program.
