$3 a gallon to drive your car? I can't believe it! I think the President of the United States should have the power to stop this increase in the price of gasoline! I am sure his rating as President would go up immediately and rise in proportion to the lower cost of gasoline! He would probably be designated the Greatest President Of All Times!
As the price of gasoline rises everything else stops! Summer trips, new summer clothing, eating out and all purchases that would help the economy! I know it will affect my life as our family won't be able to drive to California to see my ill elderly 78 year old Grandma. I think that sometime this summer there will be long gas lines with alot of angry consumers!
President Bush, if you see this blog, please figure out a way to lower the price of gas! I know you have the power! You can do it!
Can President Bush stop the increase in the Price of Gas?

Yeah, I know, gas prices are awful, like 3 bucks already. Luckily I dont drive!
Tell me about it! I've only been driving since December, but it's difficult to be able to afford gas to drive to school, church, and friends' houses when you don't even have a job! I used to be able to get by but now, it's like I'm being deprived from my social life as well as worshiping God! All because I can't afford to drive to church!

I do not know how much the government can do. There are certain rules what the preisdent and the government can and cant do to regulate buisness and the economy since we have a lassaz faire ( I dont know if I spelled that right) policy.
Plus this whole gas thing has been a long time coming. At Model UN this year we had a guy who is an oil expert, David Meneger, come and speak to us about gas and he told us to get used to the prices because they are not going to changes because the world does not have very many oil reserves left.
I believe that the President and Congress can do more than they are doing about gas prices. And since it has been a long time coming, they should have been more prepared for the crisis!
Congress is funding alternative energy research groups,a nd I agree it has been a long time coming, but once again, it not liek tey can make a federal mandate making businesses do anything.
