The War in Iraq

Every single day, you hear new information on the news about the War on Terror, only this new information is really just the same things that have been happening for five years. Someone's husband was killed in an ambush. Someone's son was murdered. Someone's daughter was helping take care of the wounded. Then you hear people talking about the war and how they don't support the war or the troops, and how everyone is stupid for going over there and risking their lives. Well, guess what....those peole are over there risking their lives for you. They are over in Iraq trying to make things better, and the only thing that people have to say is "I don't support them." No one ever said that you had to support the war....no one likes war....no one likes hearing that their loved ones have gotten killed in the war. But instead of talking crap about the troops, the people that are over there risking their lives for you, why not support the troops. You don't have to support the war to support the troops. And why not show support for the people who have loved ones in the army. There is nothing wrong with showing support.
I have two cousins that are in Iraq right now. One of them didn't know if he would ever get to see his wife and little baby girl ever again, but he still wanted to support his country and fight. My best friend doesn't know if her stepdad will get to see her walk at graduation because he is in Iraq.
The next time you want to say something negative about the people in the army, think about this.....all of those men and women are over in Iraq risking thier lives everyday for you and for our country. Remember September 11.......if those men and women were not in Iraq, there would be another repeat of September 11.....there is still the risk of another repeat. Think about that.

Wow. I have been saying things like this since the war started. I completely agree with you.

If you don't support our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them.

And I don't want anymore lives lost. That's the same reason I want the war to end. No more bloodshed. The people in the US are suffering just as much as the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. There's always a risk whether we're in there or not. They could stealthily attack us while we're in their home. We are harming innocent citizens. The war should end immediately or very soon, I don't think it's worth all the pain we've been through.
