working with men

So. I work for a construction company and I like it really well. Mostly. The guys I work with are very entertaining. Yesterday some of the guys were on the company radio discussing the possibility of snow. These guys work hard and well, they drink harder. So someone piped up about yellow snow and the fact that they could make a large quantity of it if they got a head start that night. Someone else got on the radio and said, "hey, lets keep it clean. women can hear the radio." which was chivalrous or something I guess, but it was also irritating. I don't work any less than the guys do and there's only one other woman in the field on the project so the guys don't modify their behavior much. Sometimes its embarrassing, but I don't want to be "that girl" that makes everything change. As long as the guys don't say anything sexual to me, or about me, I don't care. I don't want special treatment. Anyway. So I got on the radio and replied," I'm not offended. Girls can make yellow snow too." Well apparently the comment had been made because there was someone very important within earshot of the radio. oops. lol. anyway. its funny that some of the guys walk on eggshells around me and others (including some of my supervisors) ask me to mudwrestle and sit in their lap. men are strange. I guess though that its normal; there are two divisions of men. Gentlemen and tramps.
