Hillary and Obama are both running against each other for presidential nominee; yet, are they really any different. Both senators have voiced criticism of the way President Bush has conducted operations in Iraq. Yet when they were given the chance to enact Sen. Russ Feingold’s measure ordering Bush to withdraw most U.S. troops by July 1, 2007, both Clinton and Obama voted "no." Though each said they wanted Bush to back out of the war and that it was wrong to be in Iraq. But Obama was not in Congress until 2005, so he didn’t vote on the 2002 congressional resolution authorizing Bush to use force in Iraq. Clinton did vote for that resolution, as did 28 other Senate Democrats.
Each have little politcal experience, Hillary has a term in Congress and was First Lady, while Obama has had two years in Congress.
They both have a strong policy for healthcare and say that it needs heavy reformation. While Obama doesn't go as far as socialized medicine. Each want forms of universal healthcare, which will raise our taxes because we will have to pay for everyone who can't afford healthcare. Speaking of taxes, the both want to roll back some of Bush's tax cuts. They both want to make the rich pay even more of what the already pay.
On immigration issuses, both candidates support a path that would allow illegal immigrants to pay fines and other penalties in return for citizenship. Yet neither have gone into depth about closing off the border or about what will be done to the immigrants who cannot or refuse to pay.
The only areas where major differences where really found include energy policy, congressional ethics and budget priorities, relations with Cuba, gun ownership, and whether a senator can hold a second job."

I agree with you. I also think that rather than these 2 candidates constantly complaining that they want out of the war they should start telling the American people how they would get us out if they were elected. They can not simply end the war with a snap of a finger, they need to have a plan and I have not heard one from either one of them.
we have enough enemies in the middle east, pulling out of Iraq and leaving it defenseless will only give us one more enemy. we need to wait it out and hold steady until we can leave. For all we know the terrorists might still be there, hiding.
Half the reason why we have enemies in the Middle East is because we occupy a number of the Middle Eastern countries. Think about it, how would you like having a foreign military base in your backyard?
Also, the terrorists will always be there. There are terrorists everywhere and nothing will change that. One thing we also have to keep in mind, too, that things that may seem appalling to us may be acceptable to others. The United States has a fear of government/economic systems that aren't Democratic and/or Republic and Capitalistic at least in part. We have also had this desire to capitalize everyone and try to do so in a year or two, while we ourselves had several decades of trial and error as British colonies until we were able to make a system work for us (which eventually gave us the power to overthrow the superpower at the time). These people have been under a dictatorship for decades (if not centuries), then we suddenly come in, capture and kill their leader, and attempt to establish a system that they know little to nothing about.

this place has always had a history of wars and has seen little to know change so us coming in and trying to change it is a pretty bold step. the way i see democracy, is that every place in the world needs a different type of it so more government, some less. and we did iraq a favor by popping off sadam. the were living in fear. i have no regrets about what we did to him. middle east does need to have a stricrer form of gov. because it is a brutal and dangerous area, thats also why we keep military bases there!!!!!!!!
I personally get tired of hearing the two of them go back and forth trying to find problems with the other. They should get over themselves and each other and just join together on the November ticket. It sure would leave the news with nothing to talk about. Lol.
