Groups at Progressive U

Okay, as of right now, it reads that there are 14 users online at Progressive U and 1565 guests. Of the names listed, none are on my buddy list (which has only just recently begun to grow) and and there is one name I recognize. Quite subconsciously, I clicked on the name I recognize (someone with whom I've shared many arguments with) and click on the "track" tab to see where he or she has posted. Many of his or her posts were on blogs that I myself have commented on.

So, I followed through one by one to read the new messages, made a couple of comments here and there, told a few stories and then it dawned on me.

Most of the comments made on these same blogs seem to be made by many of the same people I see making comments on my blogs. Could I inadvertently be following along with a clique, right here at Progressive U?

So, I went through my blogs and others' blogs on which I have commented, and lo and behold with the exception of a few different names here and there, most of the comments are made by, again, these same people within that little "group".

On a whim, I checked out a new name and checked his / her posts, and saw the same thing, only with a different group of names.

Now, I have never been one that would join a clique; nor did I ever like them. But I find it funny that with the amount of people openly claiming to hate cliques, these small groups seem to form in any social environment, including the online environment. Why do you suppose that is? I have decided to name my little clique the "Hot Heads", because most of these people have very strong opinions about many things and are very open and passionate about expressing that opinion. Take a look at the group of people who tend to comment and reply to your posts; how would you describe your group?
