Okay...So I procrastinate. It's obvious and it's a problem. The problem is blown out of the water by the fact that I am an AP (Honors) student and have much to do. Right now, I have half finished Spanish makeup work, a chapter of history to read and write a paper over, math homework that has to be at least four days late, and I'm scores of cell animation blocks to draw-by Friday. Test galore, a competition this weekend...and I don't want to do a single bit of it...

That I am so overworked and have so little motivation currently, is frightening! I know I will suck it up and do it all eventually; but the fact that I can't just work on it is sad. However, I know I am not the only one with this problem. There are many among the ranks of intelligent, ambitious students that have PROCRASTINATOR labeled on their foreheads. It makes me wonder: Why do we do it? There's no rush of adrenaline, like performing on stage or riding a roller coaster; and the stress of needing to finish so quickly is unsettling. It's a logical explanation for sleep deprivation and acne, quite frankly.

I realize that I whine and complain and bring up issues over things that I usually offer no solution to. It pains me to think that I am one of the "coulda, woulda, shoulda" crowd; therefore, I shall kick myself in the ass and get to work! I encourage those who are sitting reading this blog instead of drawing little men almost being murdered by giant hamburgers, or reading over the Progressive movement in American history to log off an get through it! Turn off the TV, find a good workspace, have water and go to it. The sooner you finish, the sooner you'll be able to sit at leisure and read the next of my philosophical ramblings.

Coming soon, Fear and The Hilarity of Sin.

It's one of those easier said than done things.

I couldn't agree more! I am an IB student, which is pretty much just like AP. I am currently on February "vacation" yet I have a 5 page math packet to complete, a 4 page econ packet to complete, a book to read for english along with an essay to write on it, and a Psychology test to study for. I have started my english book, but that is about it. I have also been working everyday, and I really want to try to spend some time on scholarships so I'm not in debt when I get out of college. Good luck with all your stuff! Try not to procrastinate, and I'll do the same. I am at work right now though and this is what I'm doing instead of finishing up the work my boss left me =) shhhhh.

Haha, it is a vicious cycle, isn't it?
