Abortion

As i was walking to class and one of the people who collect signatures to get a law on the ballot pulled me a sides an asked me to sign something to that and i asked him what exactly did i need to sign and he said that they wanted to get the this law on the ballot were if a minor wanted an abortion they would have to notify the parents before they do it and i said there is no way im going to sign that . There is no reason that for her parents to be notified it goes against doctor patient confidentiality, and the only way that should be affected is if she was a danger to herself or others. I dont think its up to some doctor to to tell her parents that she is pregnant and its up to the minor to make the descision weather she wants an abortion or not it going to affect her for the rest of her life not her parents necesarily. I asked the guy what he felt about and if he got some girl pregnant and she wanted to get an abortion and no one would ever know would you want your parents notified if you could get away with it he told me that he wouldnt want his parents to get notified and i asked him then, why are you doing this he said i get paid by the signature its my job.
