So, this is my first blog. I'm not used to writing online, but I'm sure as hell good at writing with a pen. Let's see how the whole cyber-blog thing goes. First off, I'd like to introduce myself and my reason for joining Progressive U to blog. I'm Mellissa Patterson. I am seventeen and a senior at Fleetwood High School in good ol' Berks, PA. I will be attending West Chester University for my first fall semester going in as undecided. Which brings me to why I'm here. I'm sick in bed with what most doctors like to call Mononucleosis. aka: Mono... So, what better to do than to log onto FastWeb and check out some new scholarship opportunities, since I have yet to get one... yikes. =/ After searching for about thirty minutes I came across something along the lines of blogging for a scholarship. Then, I realized that the blogging was about pretty much anything, and you could earn points for several reasons. I became interested and... here I am! Now, I am ready to blog about whatever it is I can and hopefully earn some points towards a scholarship. As for my first blog, I'll keep it short and sweet so you don't have to read about a whole lot of nothing. However, I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me by just sendin' some looove. Mucho appreciated. and Mucho love to all. as for right now, I'm going to take a warm bath and try to swallow some food...

Okay, I'd like to point out some things early on so you don't have to worry later.

.......Nope.
If you read the rules (which if I remember correctly, FastWeb gives the basic rules) then you would know that you have to write a blog topic about something progressive, hence the name of the site. Read some blogs (especially the highly rated ones) and you'll start getting a good idea of what's expected.
Also, check out the forums. There's a good section on Blogging Tips for Newbies that will help you out a lot, I think. The forums are hard to find, so I'll include a link
Also, don't comment to your own blog like that. People will get annoyed with you for trying to fudge points.
