11 New Coal Plants for TXU to build? Though this news is far from new, it's an issue I'm passionately against. There are so many cleaner ways to provide for the future electricity needs of Texans. For one, we could greatly reduce our usage by remembering to turn off lights, turn off our computers when we're finished with them, etc. The emissions from coal plants will hurt the lungs of any citizens that live nearby. As a health enthusiast, this disturbs me SO MUCH! When I go out for a run in the city I live, I can already feel the poor air quality having a negative effect on my lungs. I'm scared to think about how much pollution and tiny particles will invade my body if these new coal plants get built! I really hope people continue to voice their concerns and write Governor Perry to let him know that most Texans are against his coal plants. Maybe showing him that we support the effort to STOP the coal industry from broadening will prompt him to take another look at how his decisions will affect Texans' health in the future.

I'm from Texas, where are these coal plants going to be. I don't want my air polluted with black ash.
