High School Librarians....are they helpful or do they play favorites?

The main librarian in our school plays favorites and you can tell so badly...even the teachers can tell.  When you walk into our library the first thing you usually hear is do you have a pass and if your reply no you have to leave the library.  Its seems like I can't even go into the high school library to study or do homework because she wants it to be quiet in it, but then again she talks really loud.  Isn't a library a place for students to go during there free time to study and get help? I was just wondering if other people thought the same thing.

My school doesn't have a lounge for seniors to go during their free periods, so they go to the library. There, they get yelled at to be quiet because people are working. What people? It's usually all seniors in there- and what senior really works, right? ha ha
I have to admit, I am one of those people who is seen as a favorite. Many of the teachers and monitors thought I was a senior my freshman year, so I have never been asked for a pass- in the library or elsewhere. It does seem that only high school librarians play favorites , unless one volunteers or is at the library every day. There's no way to get past this though- another sad fact of life.
