Skin Cancer, Not a Leading Cause of Death

Three types of skin cancer, melanoma being the worst.

When I was in sixth grade I remember my mom coming home to tell me she had skin cancer.  It was melanoma.  We are still unsure how she got it. She does smoke, and she did spend time in the sun. Are those two together enough to start it?

About a year ago I saw an old friend that I had not talked to in awhile. She was known for "fake baking".  She worked at Tucker's (our local tanning salon).  As I was there getting ready to tan she showed me a spot on her stomach. She receieved melanoma cancer from tanning too much.  The doctor now limited her to about 20 minutes a week.

Tanning can be safe, if you use the right tools. It is true, you CAN get cancer from tanning.

Skin cancer is NOT the leading cause of death, and I am sure far from it.

I know my highschools latest fad is "fake baking" which is jsut as harmful as the skin itself.

Save your body, be safe.

Yes. People should not "over do it" Too much of anything can get them sick. Sure they can get a quick fix and look nice now, but have cancer later

thats not true an fried of mine died from skin cancer
