Stick and Stones

Hey Everybody! This is my first blog and so I pretty new at what to do. But let me first say that our society is mean. People go out with their friends and always critizce others. I was walking with my friends in a group of six or seven and we were walking down a sidewalk by the mall. The "leader" of the group was talking about the two overweight people sitting by the door. He was talking loud enough for us to hear but also louder enough for them to pick up most of what he was saying. My friend was making some pretty mean jokes and I just didn't want to look at the two poeple. I felt embarassed. I didn't want them to know I had anything to do with my friends. I am a pretty quiet person and I am very generous. I don't judge people. I think everybody is different and have their own special things that make them unique. I just don't like it when people take about others behind their back. It just isn't right. Anyway, I think this society, specially the teens of this day need to stop giving their negative opinon of other people and just let them be. I think that we need to start being nicer to others. If you want to say something about somebody on the street then compliment them on their shoes or their shirt. The teens need to celebrate life and unite with one another because we are the future generation and if we start this negative mind set now it will lead to greater problems in the future. We are already at war with other countries we don't want another civil war.

Here's a blogging tip for newbies:

Use spaces between paragraphs. It makes it easier to read. People are more likely to read thoroughly and then comment. Often, when I see a big block of text, I just move on without reading. You get the read count that way, but you don't get the comment, which bumps your post up on the active threads list, leading to MORE reads!

Good luck and welcome!
