I just have to have it. Starbucks Hot Chocolate, Coffee, Lattes. The world has an addiction to Starbucks. Starbucks is a bad habit that is hard to break. But it needs to be broken. I usually order a tall hot chocolate no whip cream with a butter croissant. Sometimes I get a grande hot chocolate. I wish I could stop, but I am addicted to the lingo, the way we customize our orders, 2% milk, sugar free carmel syrup, no whip cream. Everybody it seems is addicted to Starbucks, or establishments like it. We are a slave to the coffee industry. Spending hundreds of dollars every year on an addiction. Where ever we go there is someone who is selling the addiction. Whether we are at the airport, book store, street corner, somebody has the substance we desire.

Being a slave to the coffee industry isn't like being a slave to nicotine. Starbucks is one of the more ethical coffee companies out there, and certainly the largest provider of fair-trade coffee. Growers in Africa and elsewhere in the world depend on our love of coffee to make a living. Is it ridiculous to waste $5 on a coffee every single day? Yes. But to say that loving coffee is a bad thing is a little naive.
