Pastor admits he bought meth

The Rev. Ted Haggard admitted Friday he bought meth for himself but said he never used it.  He said he was just curious and that is why he bought it.  THis excuse seems very childish to me, "I was just curious".  The bigger picture of course is that one of societies supposed moral leaders was buying meth in the first place.   It seems that the church is going to have to look at their own employees morals a little closer, this coming after pastors have sex with little boys, it looks a lot like a huge drop in morals for the church.

I wonder how the church will respond to this because I am guessing that I am not the only one that is doubting church morals right now.

Haha I just read that like a matter of 30 seconds ago. You do know that you will get raked over the coals for going against religion right? I always do. I'm glad that someone else is writing to show the hypocritical ways of some christians.

Ha ha yes I do know that but its not going to stop me from putting it out there.

My bet is that the Church as an entity will deny responsibility - just as they did with the priests that were molesting children. The Pope came out and said "I have no hand in hiring the priests, so I cannot take responsibility".

Please....

If you ran an international business, and found out that there were several complaints about one of your general managers in regard to sexual assault, whether you directly hired him or not, wouldn't you go check things out?

Thats what I would think but I guess since the Pope talks to God he doesn't have to or something.
