Everyone has looked into magazines like People and Cosmopolitan. You think to yourself, "I wonder what it is like to be someone like this or to look that flawless all the time." You will never look into the magazine rack and see a really "ugly" person on the cover. Media puts so much pressure on everyone to be a certain way and it is really sad. You can no longer be yourself without being like someone else at the same time. You read about these beautiful people and realize that, some of them have some serious issues...cough cough lindsay lohan, britney spears cough cough.... The saddest part of this whole issue is that people that have these issues become more famous for having them. It makes you wonder how much credibility you can give to celebrities anymore. It only impowers me to know that, I'm a nobody but i still have my own style (and dignity) and haven't sunk so low as to become a drugged up celebrity. I look up to celebrities like Angelina Jolie who are beautiful (can't help that) but still a powerful woman and making differences in the world. I hope that youth looks at Jolie's example and learns something from it.
