By now almost everyone has heard about the huge polygamist case coming out of Texas. One of the recent issues stemming from the case is what to do with all the children. When authorities went in and took the children away from their families, more than 440 were seized. For several weeks he children were taken away from their parents while authorities tried to figure out which child belonged with which parents, and several other issues. Finally the kids are being reunited with their parents. The article link below leads to an article dealing with the children, and the issue of reuniting them with their parents. So far about a dozen children have been reunited with their parents when the court ruled in favor of the parents. The authorities argued that returning the children before they viewed each case throughly would be considered irresponsible.
What are your thoughts pertaining to this case? What do you agree with, and what do you not agree with when looking at both sides of the case?
"This case is about adult men commanding sex from underage children; about women knowingly condoning and allowing sexual abuse of underage children; about the need for the department to take action under difficult, time-sensitive and unprecedented circumstances," the state agency said in its appeal." ~This quote is from the article link below

Do the children who grow up in a polygamists family have a choice when they grow up to be polygamist or not? Some may argue they do, but if that is all they've every know is it a true choice?
I dont think they know what other options are out there because they have been sheltered. This is why I don't like the idea of homeschooling. I think that every child should have to attend school with kids from different families in order to see more than one view of the world.
