GOD- becoming more and more mortal as time goes on

hello world.  my newest question:  IS GOD BECOMING MORE AND MORE MORTAL AS TIME GOES ON?

Answer:  what do you think?  we have bounced back and forth between time frames a couple of times in history but i think we are on the road to a serious backtracking.  does it seem to anyone else that we are headed back into the time of church and state being one?  we have the hell house trying to frighten people into viewing things in the Christian way.  we also have the now legal discrimination against homosexuals mainly because of a religious viewpoint.  what will come next?  now i have heard something else.  apparently aids is a gay punishment.  that 1 is new to me.  since when is aids a gay punishment.  where is the evidence that says it actually came from a gay person?  i could have sworn it didn't but who am i but one person in this vast country.  i say that god is becoming more and more mortal because instead of letting God handle his own we are trying very hard and in some places succeeding in taking over his role as supreme judge.  think about it.  the bible has been interpreted many different ways by many different MEN/WOMEN over time and who knows what we're missiing.  there is also the wonderful missing books we keep finding mysteriously.  and y oh y does the bible contradict itself so much?  any answers people?  because we r trying to play a role that is too big for all of us.  us being the people of the world.  how can we ever get it together?  will we?

Us being the people of the world, we will never get it together! As for what you say, you make some great points. I do believe we should leave God alone and let him do what he is going to do. I mean he is the creator (my opinion) and he doesn't need people reminding him that people are gay or they are whatever people feel will send others to hell. I think we should worry about the issues we can actually have a say in. Really, is bashing gay people ever going to make this world completely heterosexual? I don't think so, so why even waste our time on such a minor issue (which should not be an issue at all).

i agree that no matter how many laws or gay bashing or whatever we do there will always be gay people. just like withthe jews, after mass genocide there are still jews and will always be jews, and just like the persecution of every gender orientation or religion, it will always remain as long as the government doesn't figure out how to alter free will.

Stop telling me that I am not allowed to vote based on my values. Why are you for gay marriage? What value dictates that position? Maybe Tolerance? Remember most virtues when pursued in the extreme become vices.

Ransom-
I find you have some anger issues? In all of your comments you are very rarely positive. Is that what we should think about all conservative people? I'm sure not all conservatives are like that, but what I am saying is geezzz....with that type of attitude there will be no room for common ground among AMERICANS. I'm sure you go to church- or i assume- anyway, doesn't it say "Hate the sin, not the sinner?" We are taking these people's civil rights away!

i am not telling u that u can't vote based on ur values i am saying that open mindedness and the oh so popular golden rule gets abandoned as long as the issue does not directly effect some people. if this is not you then don't take offense.

I once read a study that said that conservatives were happier then liberals. If you could see my face, you would find that I am laughing.

The goverment doesn't let us kill people (unless it an innocent unborn). I am quite upset at this. You know we should let God decide whether killing is okay-not the goverment.

All laws are based on values, how they are derived is irrelevant.
