Yes, you elected the current congress. They promised things like immediate withdrawal from Iraq, stopping business as usual in the house and senate, and my favorite, "democrats have a commonsense plan to help bring down skyrocketing gas prices..". Hold on, did you say a common sense plan?
Interesting, a commonsense plan, by the way, that's a direct quote from Nancy Pelosi before winning the election. If the democrats had a plan, and it didn't make sense, i would at least respect the fact that they had a plan. These people actually sold us dummy. They not only have no plan; they are bent on making things worse.
They would not allow the government to drill for oil neither would they suggest a better way. They claim environmental concerns but they drive the biggest gas guzzling cars and fly the private jets. The other tiime Nancy Pelosi was aking for a 747 just like Airforce 1 for her office. I don't blame them, i blame you, yes you, because you never learn.
They are allowed to drive in the cars of their choice and pay for it using tax payer money so why should they care? Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama are promising the same things, almost word for word, yet the ballot is bursting with enthusiats for them. Even when the fact is that the President can do very little do stem these problems.
On the 24th of April, the speaker said on CNN that a gallon of gas is "now $2.56 on average", truth is during that time the average price was $3.77. That same lady would accuse the president of being out of touch with the American people. I just hope you don't make the same mistake and elect people who make the same bogus claims and contradict themselves.

They did fail. So far these blue dogs have been very unproductive, although I dug their recent GI bill. What's your solution to the gas conundrum?
Coal is to shaving as nuclear power is to waxing. For the time being, they are both relatively cheaper options, and each is a fast fix to the energy problem. Now, factor global warming back in --"Hairy Sustainability" by A-squared, a ProU blogger
Here's what i think. Drill in select places off the coast of Fl in designated places, Drill in select places off the coast of California. Do more research into Oil Shale. With oil shale alone, the US ca replace all the oil in the entire middle east and more. Build more nuclear plants, research into higher efficiency for coal, use corn based ethanol more. Use our new found wealth and independence to combat Global warming and terrorism.
Pros
---We would not only be energy independent, we would sell to other countries at a cheaper price and bankrupt, Iran, Venezuela and other Opec countries. By the time we take all these measures, the only thing they'll be using their oil for is cooking.
--- We would have taken the scientific knowledge of fuels and fueling systems to another level.
---- College engineers would get better jobs; more people would be encouraged to pursue engineering (i love engineering)
----If energy is plentiful, manufacturers would be willing to invest in this country and our economic reliance on China would reduce. 99% of dollar store items are made in China.
Cons
--- Real estate prices would drop
---Global warming would probably increase
---A lot of money would be required as an initial investment.
---Congress is too inefficient to pass so many bills
---It just wont happen.
Well I'm glad you're not eating and breathing the idea of liquid coal. As far as energy independence goes, I believe we can achieve that through energy conservation and putting our minds to the task of retooling our hydrocarbon-fueled economy. The job-creating power of renewable energy is 3-5 times that of fossil fuels--The University of California at Berkeley Meta-Study, 2004.
All we have to do now is decide who will instigate and provide the infrastructure for such an energy independent nation. Will it be private investors or collectively funded.

Oh really?? I didn't know that. 3 -5 times.. wow!!! You know the one man preventing the construction of the US's first off shore windmill. He sights claims that the spot should be preserved like a national treasure for it's aesthetic value. People claim the only thing he wants to preserve though is the value of his real estate that is right in front of the site. The guys name is Ted Kennedy
I did not know that. Fascinating. Well perhaps his recent medical problems are simply karma for that sort of greed. I do wish his health improves, don't get me wrong. Would you mind sending me a link about that story?
Smile on the spot.
