Don't judge book by it's cover.

First, a disclaimer. I am a devoted Christian and I do not agree with the homosexual lifestyle. However, I also do not agree with Christians treating people like crap because they don't agree with their lifestyles. I am not condoning homosexuality, but I am condoning the Bible which states clearly in Matthew 7:1, "Do not judge, or you too will be judged." This is going to be a God-oriented blog.
Okay, then a background story.
I have a really good friend, let's call him....Dave....although that isn't his actual name. He is a homosexual and he quite frankly dresses like a female, but not like to the extent of transvestite. More to the extent of girl pants and tight shirts. He used to go to a private school, and after he left, almost everyone from that school treated him like dirt because he is the way he is. "Dave" is probably the sweetest guy that I've ever met and he's a very attractive guy, plus he's a really cool person. But just because he's "gay" and dresses the way he does, people treat him like he's trash.
And this is why I thought about this...we went to burger king after church and a friend goes to the private school "Dave" went to. I asked him if he knew Dave and then he was like, "I knew him before he was like that and he was really cool." and then I was like, "Dude, I did too. He's still really cool."
This is an example of judgmentalness that God cannot stand. I admit that I tend to be a bit judgmental at times, but I am working on it. But this situations really made me think.
Although "Dave" is living a sinful lifestyle, God still loves him the same as He loves the most on fire Christian. God sees all sins as the same. Murder is the same as a lie in God's eyes. Just because somebody dresses a certain way, does not mean they're a bad person. Just because somebody's "black", does not mean they're ignorant. Just because somebody's "white", does not mean they're preppy. It depends on the individual, not the way they dress or the color of their skin.
