There are 1.3 billion Muslims in the world, but because of the 19 Muslims that hijacked the airplanes on 9/11 that crashed into the

Center, most of them are getting searched in airports and thought to possibly be a threat just because of how they look. Wouldn't you be offended if people thought you were a terrorist when really you're just on a business trip or going on vacation?
The dictionary definition of a terrorist is a person, usually a member of a group, who uses or advocates the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes, but after the attack on the

Center people have a new definition for a terrorist. They believe that all terrorists are dark-complected Muslim people of Middle Eastern descent; however, this is not true.
Terrorists can be of any race, sex or religion.
If Timothy McVeigh were to attempt to board an airplane to fly anywhere in the world he could have, and yet he was one of the worst terrorists who ever walked the earth, killing 167 people and injuring 850 more. Looking at Timothy McVeigh, you would think he was the all-American guy. He was an average Caucasian male who served in the United States Army during the Gulf War, and was even awarded a Bronze Star Medal. Timothy McVeigh, from a profiling standpoint, would not fit the image of a terrorist.
It goes against the American way.
Our country was built upon equality, yet throughout our history there have been so many injustices done by racial profiling. On December 7, 1941, the Japanese navy made its attack on
Pearl Harbor. After that many Americans felt that they couldn't trust any Japanese people, American citizen or not, so they sent them to Japanese American Internment camps where many were treated unfairly, but just because some Japanese people attacked
Pearl Harbor doesn't mean that every single Japanese person feels the same way. The Japanese people that live in our country that were discriminated against were American citizens that may have left Japan to come to America to escape from what that country was doing. However, after this happened their own country turned on them.
Conclusion.
Racial profiling is wrong. Airport security should randomly choose people to search instead of picking people that are or look Muslim. As with the case of Timothy McVeigh, it just goes to show you that you can't judge a book by its cover.
