What is it?

A little while ago I sat listening to my stepdad explain a story he read in the internet newspaper (which I will leave unnamed). Accordingly a older male wanted two females to be filed for statutory rape. These two females in question were in their mid-teens, sitting in public making-out.

I really have to question this idea that the two females in question could be charged with that crime. Sure kissing in public may not be entirely appropriate, at least not for conservative-minded people. But I do not remember it being illegal.

For clarity, we shall define the term 'statutory rape'.

Rape is (as we all should know) forcing another person to have sexual intercourse.

Statutory Rape is a person under the statutory age (usually between 16-18 dependent on where you live) regardless of whether they are willing or forced (though the term is usually applied to the willing)

Sex, in my opinion, must involve sexual organs. The mouth and tongue is not a sexual organ, they do not create offspring or help in the creation of offspring. Even with fondling the hands and chest area (if these two were doing such a thing) are not part of intercourse in the sense that they do not produce the offspring. Yes breast feed babies, but they do not produce them.

With that said I feel I must really question this man who accused the two girls of 'statutory rape' and I wonder if he understands the meaning of the two words.

What does it really matter if two females are kissing anyways? We have nudist colonies for crying out loud.

For the record I am neither for or against homo/bisexuality. I believe people should be what they want to be. It is not my place to judge them for that nor tell them that it's wrong. I have many friends who have chosen such a lifestyle and it makes no difference to me.
