Articles in blogs

One of the moderators wrote that he doesnt think someone should just post a blog with an article in it without expressing your opinion. I one hundred percent agree, but then yesterday i wrote a blog called heroes. The first one hundred and thirty six words are MY opinion. The second part of the blog is an article that go's along with my blog.  The moderator wrote me a comment saying i should express more of an opinion. In my opinion that makes no sense, because then everyone who writes a blog with the same amount of words is not expressing opinions. Maybe he thought that there where less words or i wasnt expressing enough opinion. Everyone deserves there opinion, but i strongly disagree.

The difference is, in your last blog, you more or less let the article speak for itself. What you wrote was more of a summary of the article than an opinion. In fact, I'm not sure why you really need to post the article at all. I think you could have easily posted a link to the article (if you felt it was necessary) and used the blog to talk about your sentiments on the whole thing. The point of posting articles is to highlight a particular thing (or particular things) in the article--points that you agree with or disagree with.

This blog, for example, is a great blog. You see a problem; you present your opinion; you defend your opinion. This is the essence of blogging. I look forward to reading more from you.

Also, did you actually count your words by hand?
