Okay, so this is my first blog...here it goes:
The first thing I noticed was that abortion was the hot topic in these neck of the woods. Scary. People talk about personal experiences and take uneducated stabs at what they think to be fact (somewhat depressing, but all in all very entertaining). Everyone talks about how the fetus is or isn't a human being. I think it all depends on an individuals up-bringing and personal opinion.
Opinions. They are everywhere. You can't ever be wrong about your OWN opinion, this doesn't mean that you are correct in any sense of the word. It is validity without positive knowledge. Once you have acquired this knowledge...by oh I don't know going to Med school and studying the human body and physiology and then continuing your studies in Ethics and Morality (according to the universe 101) then you can come to me and tell me that its wrong or right.
As far as I am concerned, abortion, affects not only the women who do or don't have them but humanity as we have come to know it. Overpopulation, lack of resources, incurable diseases, war, water-air-soil-soul pollution...why would you even think of bringing a child into this world under these conditions? Are we really that selfish? I know there are beautiful things this world has to offer and experiences that can change any being BUT at what expense? There aren't enough resources to go around.
There are millions of children out there that need a loving home or maybe just someone to listen to them, and we turn the other way. We need to take care of those who are here, those children that did make it to see the light of day and help them in their endeavors.
"The American Dream" was attainable in the 50's and 60's and most of Americans attained it but at an expense that we have to pay. Their lack of conservation and preservation has left us in a state of almost unattainable sustainability. Think of what a child requires and how much, with the economy in a downward spiral, and the environment in the state that it is in, do you think your happy home will stay healthy (physically or mentally)?
Stop thinking short term and quick fixes.
That.Is.All.

The world is what you make of it.. the fact that your defending unborn children with pollution is actually quiet funny. I'm still young and quiet happy i am born shouldn't babys get that right? the world is a pretty cool place when you get to know it, though things are going to hell there is still our chance to make it better and way more beautiful than it was...

The American Dream is still attainable becasue it is so flexible. pretty much the American Dream is what ever the hell you want it to be don't you think. If you WANT to live on the street getting wasted every night than that is the American Dream... the country was founded for the fact that someone could do what they wanted to do (though granted people are starting to impede that.)
plus the American Dream was big in the 1920 we already paid for it in the Great Depression of the 1930s. The 50's and 60's were more of the fear of cold war no one was like "lets buy everything in the market cuz we're rich" no the people in the 50's and 60's aren't to blame

You can't make people shut up by telling them they need to go to school to learn about the human body and ethics. no one can tell you if it is alright to kill a living fetus thingy... You have to take how you were brought up into concideration like if you werre set up with not killing.. then you don't exactly like abortion.
understand i believe in womans rights but... i disagree with some of the things you said... plus i like debating... O and it was a nice first blog
