The inclusion of women in the armed forces has lead to a new set of problems. Our brave soldiers face enough difficulties in combat but now Americas has added to that strain. By law, nature’s law, women are not built like men. Women are most commonly about five inches shorter then men with half the upper body strength as men and because of that they get injured more often. Women have lighter skeletons and that means they receive more stress fractures – up to 30% of the female army colonels have some type of orthopedic condition that will be with them for the rest of their lives versus the only 7% of their male counterparts that have the same conditions . Due their inability to meet the standards set for the men, the women are given an easier set of physical requirements that are not fair to the men; and this causes resentment among the ranks because of the inequality in standards and worry that the women won’t be able to function as necessary in a combat situation. Fitness standards are used to insure that soldiers will be able to handle what is thrown their way during combat situations. Also, men and women that are together in a confined space for a long period of time will eventually become involved in some way. So many women are getting pregnant (alot purposefully it would seem) that many have even suggested that these women are getting pregnant to avoid combat duty which leaves the troops back to where they started before allowing women into the fighting ranks. It is true that women are helping the military meet their recruiting quotas, but it has just led us into a new set of problems. There are women that can meet the requirements involved with joining the military and to those women, I give credit where credit is truly due. Let them join and fight if that is what they wish to do but for those who are doing it in the hopes of a free ride, please stop wasteing our country's time, effort, and money.
Women in a Man's Military?

This goes back to the whole saying "I can do anything you can do better. I can do anything better then you." "No you can't!" "Yes I can!" Women are less strong then men but they can do anything men can do it may just take a little bit longer.
I agree to the point of hoping to get a free ride. In fact, it actually bugs me when people join just to go to college for free and then when they get shipped off somewhere they get mad. I mean, the military is meant to fight and to keep this country safe. If they're gonna join they need to be aware of that and have it set in their mind that they'd be willing to go anywhere the military chooses to send them.
