Heaven: Is Gandhi there?

The root of the matter is whether or not good people are denied entrance to heaven. It is hard for some Christians to believe that such a great person as Gandhi wouldn't be admitted. By extension, it's also difficult for some Christians to conceive of the concept that whole populations of people who don't accept basic principles of Christianity won't enjoy eternity. These situations become a crisis of faith for many.

The Bible is firm that being a Christian is more than just being a good person. One must undergo a genuine transformation. It's not about being scared to death of going to hell either. Hell is defined as simply the separation from God. Heaven is the reunification with God. These are Christian conceptions, so does it make sense to put Gandhi into a Christian conception?

This is key. There are three main theological paradigms within in my own church, the United Methodist, that pertain.

1. Many Christians see that there are many ways to reach many spiritual truths. This would mean that all religions separately reach various truths. Thus, Buddhists can find truth, but not the Truth as in reaching Heaven.

2. Others believe that there are many ways to one truth. This camp sees that various religious persons are all working towards a universal truth. However, there's the question of how Jesus fits in here? Is he the last step for all the religions? Obviously Christians would say so. In that case, it's about potential; any Buddhist can call on Christ.

3. Still, others hold that there is one way to the one Truth. This is the most well known that believing that Jesus paved the way for those that believe in him to reach Heaven.

So, the jury's still out. Can one compare Nirvana to Heaven? What about this: does reincarnation only apply to Hindus and Buddhists? What if in one of his or her lives a person of those faiths becomes something else, born into a Jewish family?! So another scenario could be that a Buddhist reincarnates as a Christian and goes to heaven?

I'm still developing all this in my mind, but this is where I'm at. Any thoughts?

I really am not totally for sure. I mainly believe that a particular religion does not matter I believe people should have faith in who ever they worship. But you put forth some good questions. I believe that reincarnation may be true for all people of all religions or it may not even be true at all. You really threw me off here...lol. I wish I could give you more logical answers but the one I gave you is my belief. I don't believe if a religion practices different things that things will go differently for them. But this is just my belief. This what seems logical to me. I have questioned how God was created? This still bugs me. Good blog! Sorry I am confused myself.lol

It's better to have a lot of questions than to think you have everything figured out.

It applies to all regardless of one’s mindset while in the physical when lingering amongst the living.

To enter inside a physical body is a choice, other than that there is no such thing as a menu to choose were or in which family one will take his first breath of air.
Were one will pop up is more a situation which is steered depending upon how one has lived his previous life.

Someone in the physical who decided it was all too much and committed suicide, will be kicked right back in and go through exactly the same emotional experience.

Therefore it is not much of a wise choice to end own life!

The more a person put’s an effort to grow as a person in order to be part of the evolution, the more knowledge he/she will gather along the ride. This knowledge can help one to deal with its ego.

One of the goals human beings pursue is to lose the ego, no need to mention, most are doing a lousy job when it boils down to that.

Anyhow, if one is persistent and eager to fill his life with valuable content, this content will accompany and remain present in the next ride.

The above has nothing to do with right or wrong, or morals of any kind.

To become aware of this knowledge which will manifest itself along the way of a ride in the physical, is no other than a sensation of bliss.

When lingering on the other side (within the source), limitations which we know here inside the physical are not present.

There is no such thing as higher power on the other side or plane, the source is energy only, these fields are surrounding us while in the physical, but again, for now only few can tap into those.

The one’s that can, are to be considered masters since they can easily create reality.

Their goal in life is to guide us all in order to bring awareness of our true being and potential.

What people ignore is the fact that the earth we walk upon is actually heaven they are waiting for to enter after dead….lol

People ignore that the purpose and reason why we are here to enjoy life, we still have a long way to go…

I have thought about this one for a while now...

As an agnostic, I don't know what to say about it. It is interesting to me, though, that all the major religions have some idea of a perfect afterlife. What does that say about humans? From an atheistic viewpoint, it says we have immense hubris to believe that we have some higher purpose beyond that of other animals. From a theistic standpoint, it says that we have some sense of the sacred that (might be) out there. I believe it's a little of both.

And I believe that if there is a heaven, valhalla, nirvana, whatever, Ghandi will be there. In all of them. But unfortunately, the factors you listed above will ensure that the jury will remain out...into eternity!

Humans are the only beings on this planet who carry a (conscious) understanding of mortality, soon this consciousness will shift itself into another truth (plane) of consciousness.

More and more people will be brought to an understanding we are all part of one and the same source which is just like ourselves infinite.

This is one example upon how our consciousness will rise to new truths.

Regardless of what many might think, humanity is finding itself on the fast lane when it comes to unveiling it’s true nature.

Humanity is heading towards a new truth, not so long ago, considering the laps of time which has passed since we were still walking around with a tail, lol

The “idea” earth was flat, was truth, but not reality!

Today humans find themselves in a similar situation, they carry an idea which is projected as truth by many religious structures around.

To untangle from this idea is only a matter of manifestation, not time but manifestation.

Whether we like it or not, this manifestation will surface amongst us all when “reality and truth” will literally pull us into the experience.

What is happening now is that we are all being sucked inside a whirlpool in which time is flashing by.

Things will therefore get worse before they get better, the best way to deal with what lies ahead is not to get involved in whatever struggle people will venture themselves in.

Most people cannot handle this acceleration of time which will even speed up more, to become an observer is the best attitude in order to deal with this on a personal level.

How many animals got killed with that destructive tsunami?
