It seems like today there is more intolerance than ever. Everywhere you look there is a war, genocide, fight, all words meaning one thing: Intolerance.

War and intolerance has been going on for all of time. Why don't we change that? It seems that in today world with such change going on and so many modern thoughts that we should be figuring out how to get along.

I understand that some feuds have been going on for decades, even centuries, but the time for change is now. Something has to be done otherwise the conflict will never end. Whether another county steps in to stop the fighting, or one country just stops retaliating, the fighting needs to end otherwise we can't live in happiness.

Intolerance comes in many forms, people are in tolerant to: people of different skin colors, different religious values, from other countries, different sexual orientations, and so much more. If people would take the time to talk to people they don't know and learn about them there would be more peace in the world.

It was intolerance that caused the Holocaust, the Darfur Genocide, fighting between Shiites and Sunni, Israelis and Palestinians, the Crusades, and slavery. It is because of these events in our past that it is hard to move forward, but if we try to make a difference, we can start the process of healing and create a bright future.
