And you want to know WHY that seat was open? It used to be "Duke" Cunninghams. You remember him? He resigned after it came out that he'd accepted over 2 million in bribes, in money and trips and cars....
Oh well, at least we have this... Good for Senator Kerry. Hopefully Cunningham saved enough of that bribe money for retirement... I suppose this is one of the measures that says "how stupid would you have to be to NOT have it!" Like the Constitutional amendment that took over 200 years to ratify-because it said that if Congress raised their salaries, it wouldnt take effect until after the next election. It's amazing how far we can get with little common sense.

well, i know a former inmate who can run for congress too. My suggestion is--run as a republican because crime sure does pay for them! (They guarentee it!)
General rule, there's some types of crimes that are forgivable... I don't believe in holding stuff against people, unless it puts them in situations directly related to their crime. The level and expanse of Delay's corruption is a whole another story, and I do not believe he should be anywhere NEAR the Abramoff investigation.
Well, it sure takes away the meaining of "public servants", "civil servants", or integrity!
