If you call me a slut, then you are a coward. If you think I'm easy, then maybe you should poll a group of men about how they treat women and ask them why. If you call me a slut, then you don't know me very well, and shame on you for judging me.
Have you ever thought about why "slutty" girls are the way they are? And I'm not even going to attempt to touch the integrity of where you're getting your information...it's irrelevant to the point I'm making. I guess you think "slutty" girls are that way because they don't respect themselves or because they think they can bed hop like a man to prove a point, or maybe because they think they're hot shit and they deserve anyone they want.
Have you ever attempted to get to know these "slutty" girls and try to understand why they are the way they are? If you have, maybe you'd find out it's because they were sexually abused as a child and now they can't trust men, so they sleep around to have power. Maybe that girl just needs you to show her that she can trust you. Maybe it's because a good looking girl has been treated like a piece of meat her whole life and now she just believes it, because no guy will take the time to get to know her past her looks, so she's had to settle for these idiots. Maybe she just needs you to tell her she's beautiful and then not touch her just to prove it.
Maybe she's had a low self esteem the majority of her life, so she sought acceptance through men, and the only way they seemed to pay her any attention was if she took her clothes off. Maybe then, after she grew up and got better looking, she felt like she needed to prove that she could get attention from the guys she couldn't get attention from before. And then, maybe even after she had a healthy self-esteem, she still felt lonely occasionally because no guy would give her a chance either because she was too "slutty" or because she wouldn't sleep with him so now she was "prude", and so she makes mistakes and ends up having a one night stand out of frustration. So maybe she doesn't deal with things the way she should. Maybe you should show her you care enough about her to not hold her to a sexual standard. Maybe you should give her a chance to show you that she's worked long and hard to stop seeking acceptance through sex.
Maybe you should understand that women today live in a world where sex is currency and we are still treated as objects daily, and that to some degree or another, we are damaged because of it. Maybe we've all just been conditioned to believe that we have to give away that part of ourselves to be desirable. Maybe you should open your eyes and see that 90% of casual converstations we have with men are littered with some type of sexual innuedos. Maybe you could stop and think that maybe you don't understand a damned thing about what a woman has to put up with and overcome daily. Maybe you could process the cause and effect relationship between girls getting "sluttier" and men getting sleazier. Blame strip clubs, porn, and hollywood. Maybe you should sympathize that sometimes, women crumble under these ideals. Maybe you should stop pointing a finger and accept mistakes that women make and try to help us overcome the sexual standard we are bound to that we can never acheive because it's either one extreme or another. Maybe you should think about NEVER making another sexual joke again. Maybe you could look at women and not judge them. Maybe you could get to know them. Maybe, just maybe, you could give them the benefit of the doubt.
Maybe, the word SLUT should never come out of your selfish mouth again...

Men should be held to the same standards as women. A funny fact: when birth control came out for women, people shook their heads with disapproval that a woman would have sex without the intention of reproducing. But when Viagra came out, everyone cheered and applauded because more men csould be able to experience satisfying sex.

A lot of the men that call women sluts and whores don't know what that word means. They are the ones that have brains smaller than their penises.
What hurts me is when women label other women with those words. It's inexcusable, because we all have suffered the same degradation by the very nature of our common gender. Some of us have REALLY suffered. Those words add to the suffering, don't they?
Thank you for your honest portrayal of what an average woman goes through but is often unable to admit (because of judgements.)
The only way to make people understand that these sorts of words and labels hurt is to openly talk about them and show people how they hurt others. Seeing the women who have turned into sluts because people have called them that so often is extremely sad...but true.
