No diploma required

In an attempt to create a better future for the masses, several colleges have mandated that a high school diploma is not required to attend college. As reported in The New York Times

there are some students, like not receiving state financial aid but personally I think these people are still getting a dang good deal. I mean I kinda sort of feel jipped. I worked my butt off the finish high school and get into college and some of these people failed out and are getting a spot in a college.

Education is a valuable tool that you need to go further in life so I do believe that this is a great concept but I also see cons like maybe deciding at 15 that you don't even want to try any more.

What do you guys think?

It reminds me how if at our school if you ahve too many problems and are struggling you can apply for an option called "Crossroads" and still receive an actual highschool diploma and graduate with your senior class. However, this school takes about two weeks, and you go for two hours a day. And every single person in that school does drugs, known fact.
Its' sad, our country is becoming susceptible to anything. What happened to WORKING?!

"create a better future"
If they did not graduate, and gather enough info, how can they get a better future? It's not fair for the rest of us. It's like a "cut in line free ticket"
