My school recently banned the book "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" from being taught as part of a Literature to Film class. This really pisses me off, because I was in the class last year, and it was an excellent book. It was written by an Iowan Author. It is about life in small town Iowa. It makes sense to teach in here. The book was banned because it contained scenes involving the main character having an affair with a married woman. I don't think that this justifies having a book banned. The bible contains sex, yet the same people who banned "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" are pretty intent to teach thier children everything in the Bible.
