The Reasons I Blog

Tagged:

I blog for many reasons that are both expressive and practical. I blog to show my interest in something, express my opinions, support a cause I feel is a good. I blog to tell people about me. Blogging can also be an outlet for anger with something or to vent frustration. It  can also express how happy I  am with a current situation. I also use blogs to outline important events or occurances. Things such as births, death and birthdays can all be put into a blog.

I favor using blogs to express my feelings. When someone or something upsets me I use my blog to vent instead of personally venting to the person. It helps to keep me from getting others mad at me and also gives me a way to look at my thoughts from another point of view and decide whether or not the subject is something I really need to take to heart. It helps me decide if the issue is really worth getting upset about because we all know how somethings just end up looking silly once you write them down and look at them from another view. It also gives others a chance to express how they feel about how you are reacting to something. Writing feelings into a blog give you and others a way to know what you are feeling and why.

Important events on my calendars are almost always marked by a blog. Things like my nephews birth, my boyfriend's birthday and parties are all put into blogs so they are not easily forgotten about. I use my blog as a reminder of my past and what is happening in the future. I usually detail the events that occur while at parties so I don't forget them in later years. Blogs are a great calendars of things that have happened and a great planner of the things I will do.

Another thing I blog about a lot is my opinion and current events. Things that have changed my life or had a profound effect on me. Things that stick in my mind are the things I usually have the strongest opinion on  and blogging helps me find people who support my opinion. I believe that expressing my opinion is extremely important.  Blogging also helps me support causes that I feel are worthwhile such as animal rights or fundraising for 9/11. I can also use my blogs to express my feelings on current issues (ie. the soliders in the middle east.) and show my support or explain why I don't approve. These blogs can be helpful when you are fighting for what we believe in pr feel is right.

All around blogging is progressive, expressive and practical. It gives us a creative outlet to express feelings, emotions and opinions. Some people think blogging is pointless but I feel blogging can be a very interesting and fresh way to express yourself. Expression through writing feelings has always been important and blogs give us a new outlet to express ourselves.

I don't blog. I comment on people's blogs. My attention span is too short to create a decent blog entry.
