Yesterday I went to an Avon meeting for people that wanted to start selling Avon. I met with one of the excutive representatives and learned how everything works in the Avon business. It sounded like something that could possibly help pay for part of my college tuition because my parents don't have any money to help me go to college for various reasons that have happened in our family. One of the reasons that my parents can't give me any money for college is my brother has a severe case of artharitis and has weekly infusions to help him get better. All the medical bills take a lot of the money away that my parents could give me for college. We have insurance but it doesn't cover all of the cost. Anyway, the excutive representative gave me everything to get me started for the first couple weeks. She gave me the first two weeks of Avon books to give out to people, books to help explain everything if I have questions, and other tools to help me sell the products. After those first two weeks, I'm on my own. It's going to be scary but then again when something different happens when is it not scary. You know? It's going to be interesting to try to keep this business going for myself and hopefully I can sell Avon products well so that I will get some money to help me go to college.

get ya hustle on
My wife was an Avon rep before... Ended up being her own best customer. Either way... Where there's a will, there's a way. Good luck.

This....doesn't seem like a topic for ProgressiveU, really. Maybe it's just my own biased opinion, but you didn't accomplish all that much in that blog entry. Sure, you got a job selling Avon to hopefully help pay for college, but then what? Does this change the way you think of salespeople or jobs in general? Try to relate it back to the goals of Progressive U and you will have a good blog.
