I have been doing alot of thinking lately about life. In America, there are so many options available and so many paths that a person can take in their lives. We get to choose if we want to go to college or not, what career we want to spend the rest of our life doing, and we can change our minds as many times as we want (financial worries aside). And yet many Americans do not take advantage of the life that we have in America. It makes me very sad to think that we have so many resources at our disposal, but there are still people who don't really go anywhere in life. We are so lucky in this country, we really can be anything we want to be. People in foreign countries have to fight to be able to even learn to read and write (especially women) and yet many people take education for granted. We need to remember that not all people are as lucky as we are, or as free as we are to have the happiest lives possible. Follow your dreams.

They don't call it the Country of All Possibilities for nothing. The American dream is not bulshit. All people have to do is know how to use the oportunities this ountry gives to them. It is not the only one, that's true, but maybe it's where one finds the easiest way to achieve something in life.
People really don't take advantage of the opportunities that they have. They take everything for granted and I'm sure if they go back a few generations they'll see how different life was.
