Have you ever asked yourself or thought about the past and wondered what it was that made a friendship fall apart? Some people can stay friends with their bffs from pre-school and they end up being their maid of honor or best man.
For me, this isn't my case.
I used to have this friend, who was going to be my sister. Before our 6th grade year, her Mom had brought her brother and her to Florida. So I never saw her anymore. I missed her dearly.
The first day of middle school, right after team study, someone stopped me in the hallway. She asked me if I know someone whose name was Mark. So I asked Mark who? And then she told me and said it was her Dad. I was so confused and then everything came back to me. At the time, we were both so excited to be reunited. From that day we were insperable. In no time, we caught up on all the years we missed. When we were together, we didn't worry about anything. We would both get stomach aches from laughing so hard. We were like sisters. When seventh grade came around, her Mom moved them again. But not as far away. She started going to a different school. We stayed friends.
My Aunt who I now live with, got into a car accident in December of 2003. It didn't end well so my Mom decided that we would move to South Carolina.
So on June 25th, 2005, we packed up to leave. I had to say goodbye to Jessica. I was so upset. The only person who knew me better than myself was being taken away from me. We got in the car with the Goodbye NY sign on the back of the car and Jessica went home.
We used to write to each other all the time. We wrote so much I still swear that at this moment that we could make a book out of them.
Over the past few years, we stopped talking to each other and stopped writting. Its upsetting to know that we used to be so close to each other and now we don't even talk. Her priorities have changed and she got into drugs and drinking.
And then, you have other friends, who just start thinking that they're better than you. So you stop being friends.
Or, you have a friend, who starts to like you're ex boyfriend who you still have feelings for.
And then you're friendship starts to fall apart.
I'm sure some people have experienced these issues too...
