So this is a blog entry I wrote about 2 years in response to hearing about what people thought of christians. and quite frankly i agreed with them:
ever wonder why people just reject Jesus? one big thing i notice is because of the way we act. when we try witness to people we let our emotions get the best of us instead of Jesus. We put other people down for what they believe instead of respecting them. We dont respect others. Jesus wasnt like that. He cared for the lost and broken-hearted, for those who dont know the life, the stubborn. the gays, the lesbians, the adulterers, the wicked, the lonely, the lost, the broken, the losers, the winners, the proud, the haughty, the humble, the kind...etc. Basically He loved everyone. He always had, always will. Who are we to put down God's children? Who are we to judge? really.
Non-christians have this misconception of us. And this misconception is reflected upon all of us. Let's not rant on them and say what they're doing is ungodly. Show them love. Show them Jesus. Show them peace. This is how we lead them to Christ. By His Love.
