Last year, someone responded to one of my blogs by calling me a Republican. I won't deny that my political views have become more conservative in recent years. However, that hardly makes me a Republican. As far as I'm concerned, the Republican party isn't that conservative any more. And the Democrats have moved so far to the left that they absolutely terrify me. I should also point out that I have voted for third-party candidates in the last two presidential elections.
When I looked at the candidates that both major parties fielded for the '08 election, I became disillusioned once again. I liked Tom Tancredo & Duncan Hunter, but of course they were marginalized. Both men have dropped out of the race. So I am looking at third-party candidates again. While doing a web search, I came across the site for the Constitution Party. I don't agree 100% with their platform, but I do identify with most of their views (I have attached the web link to their platform here).

Does a third-party candidate stand a chance of winning the upcoming election? Probably not. However, we need to send a message to the Democrats & the Republicans that their way of governing is no longer acceptable.
