Why Go 'Green'?

You've probably all heard about 'going green' but you may have no interest whatsoever because it means altering your lifestyle a little. So why go green? Well, why not? Helping the environment does not have to be some amazing altercation of your daily behaviors. Think about it... you could 'go green' just by dropping your plastic bottle in the recycling bin instead of the garbage can. It's an easy solution and it requires little, if no, effort.
So many people get the assumption that you have to do everything that is eco-friendly and use only energy efficient items to be considered 'green'. Well, I believe that change comes with small changes, so why not start with recycling or turning off the lightswitch to start with? It's a lot easier than people think to help out the environment.
You may even want to consider turning your air up one degree and turning on your ceiling fans to save some energy. If you think about it, every time you are doing even the tiniest 'green' thing, you are preventing thousands of pounds of carbon emissions from entering our atsmophere, which is a primary greenhouse gas that is altering our planet and making it an unhealthy place.
Face it, there are many problems with our world, so why not start making small changes in your daily activities to help contribute. You're going to be here awhile... don't you want to live in a nice environment?

Next step: put your weight as a citizen behind a letter to your elected official supporting state and federal energy efficiency programs, credits and subsidies to renewable energy.
