A lot of people in America say that the death penalty is a cruel and unusual punishment and a lot of people say that killing one person is not showing America not to kill. In a way that's right because you're killing someone for killing someone but if you think about it.. IF someone you love was murdered and the person who did it just gets a life sentence in jail because that state prohibits the death penalty... That person is still alive getting fed three meals a day they have a roof over their head and they have a bed to sleep. How is that right? How is that fair? I know that doesn't bring your loved one back and it doesn't show people not to kill but how is that person still living and getting fed by the taxpayers fair? To me that also shows people that it's okay to kill because you're still alive and even though you can't see the outside you're still here.. well I know that that was a little extreme but that's just my opinion... My friend's brother was killed by a drive by shooting and the person who was responsible for it is sitting in prison still getting fed, and a roof over his head 5 years later and that's not going to end anytime soon because they outlawed the death sentence in that state, in the meantime my friend and his family have to live with knowing that he is still alive while their son brother loved one is lying in the ground dead. Like I said above no it doesn't bring them back but you know that justice has been served.. yes they say that since the person was caught and sent to jail to where they can't do it again justice has been served. Call me selfish but I don't think it's fair that some of our tax money is going to murderers just to keep them in jail and trying to make them "regret" killing someone. People who killed more than one person BRUTALLY as in Richard Kuklinski and Charles Manson and people part of the Manson Family all got sentenced life in prison when Richard "The Iceman" Kuklinski killed over 200 people and Charles Manson and his "family" brutally murders innocent people.. Both of these people deserved the death penalty and inside died on prison years years years later after their horribly terrifyingly wrong doings. Other killings may not have been as brutally done but they are still murderers which is still NOT OKAY so I just don't understand why the death penalty in some states is not allowed.... tell me what ya'll think..

two wrongs don't make a right. so to kill someone because they killed another doesn't make it any better.
life in prison is awful. sure you get meals, but some people are kept in dark rooms with no light. plus, it's not like they have fun in prison.
i still believe that the death penalty should remain outlawed.
killing someone is morally right from a biblical standpoint. (Genesis 9:6) Killing is taking the life of an enemy in a war or taking the life of a murderer. But capital punishment from the bible was given out to murder (Exodus 21:12), kidnapping (Exodus 21:16), bestiality (Exodus 22:19); adultery (Leviticus 20:10); homosexuality (Leviticus 20:13), being a false prophet (Deuteronomy 13:5), prostitution (Leviticus 21:9) and rape (Deuteronomy 22:24-25), and several other crimes. However, God often showed mercy when the death penalty was due. David committed adultery and murder, yet God did not demand his life be taken (2 Samuel 11:1-5, 14-17; 2 Samuel 12:13). Ultimately, each and every sin we commit should result in the death penalty (Romans 6:23). Thankfully, God demonstrates His love for us in not condemning us (Romans 5:8)
Second, we must recognize that God has given the government the authority to determine when capital punishment is due (Genesis 9:6; Romans 13:1-7).
Christians or anyone should never rejoice when the death penalty is employed, but at the same time, Christians or anyone should not fight against the government’s right to execute the perpetrators of the most evil of crimes.
But as long as the murderer isn't running free then I am fine.
Secondly not all prisoners are sent too a dark room. For example I would like to point out that the DC Sniper is in a security prison 4. That means he can still go outside and enjoy the sunshine, but I'm sure their are many who are sent to dark rooms.
