How the years go by

After another 9 months in school, summer is upon us once again. I can't believe that almost 3 years ago, I began college. Actually, I can't believe I've made this far. After this summer, I will make some changes. I'm moving out of a dorm that I have lived in for 3 yrs with the same roommates minus 1. I remember before I moved in with them, I lived in another room 2 months before and I just wanted to go back home and go to college down the street from my house. Thankfully that didn't happen and circumstances gave me chance to move and this time around have decent roommates. Well they were decent for the first 2 years.. Things really went down the hole this past summer. It was sad because we were one of the only rooms to click and have an actual bond. But as the saying goes, people change. I guess it's been the way people have accepted change. I think my friend said it best with this quote she put in her blog: "I realized long ago I love the memories that have happen there and that these years were only one part of my life and if i focus on the past too much I won't appreciate what's stage of life i'm in right now, so if you're dwelling on the past- it's time to move on. . . " With one small step, I'm moving on. I have to appreciate the good and the bad because without both, I may still be stuck in this nostalgic loop. I'm glad for the memories, but it's time to make some new exciting ones and I especially can't wait for that to happen.
