I
got a comment saying no duh. As educated as I am, I am
offended by this duh. Of course if I can break down the history of
African American culture ,I know of the Caucasian history also. I ask who knows the Caucasian history?.To the curious wondering about the word Caucasian
originated from the Caucasoid mountains"covering peoples from Europe,
the Middle East, and parts of Central Asia, North Africa and South
Asia" [1] So technically who are African Americans again? I have studied many subjects in life. In my blog "blacks to niggers" I am trying to understand why African Americans have had there racial names changed every ten-fifty years. Caucasian has been a steady name from the 19th century until about 2003 when the term was changed to European.

though i dont know for sure, i think it's because most of the first names that blacks were called were racist and very offensive. when they came up with African american they thought it would bring a right to their wrongs. but many people disagree with the term because most blacks are more that 4 generations of american born
The answer is in my black to niggers piece.
