On September 11, 2001, two towers were hit by a plane that was hi-jacked in New York City. The planes were hi-jacked by a terrorist group called "Al Qaeda". President George Bush believed the the attack was threatning to the American beliefs of freedom and liberty. He believed that the U.S. was being threatned and the enemy was Iraq and its leader, Saddam Hussein. Thus, the government began to cover up the causes of mistakes of the war. When proposed questions, the Secretary of Defense and Vice President would do a dodge-and-weave answer. The government wanted to keep the American citizens scared and informed because they wanted to go to war. We now know that Iraq never had weapons of mass destruction and that Saddam Hussein did not really impose any threat to the U.S.
What's wrong with our government? Why do they feel the need to hide what is going on from the American citizens? Why are the American citizens being lied to? We are spending over a billion dollars on defense and military spending such as weapons and new aircraft. We spend more money on military supplies than all the other countries and nations put together. What's wrong with this picture? The government now spends $1.2 million, and probably over that, on propaganda by producing the Army commercials you see on the television. They want us to believe that what is happening in Iraq is making us a better people. However, since we intervened with Iraqi affairs, their has been a hatred on the U.S. by several different countries. What's wrong? What happened?
The War That Never Seems to End

Why the quotes? Do you believe they weren't responsible? If not, who is? (and don't give a "Well, who really knows?" answer.)
Yes, yes they did. Saddam killed over 100,000 Kurds with chemical weapons. Also, the call was not that they HAD nuclear weapons, but that they were seeking them.
Remember that when you blame President Bush for this, he was saying the same thing the Democrats said under Clinton. President Bush, however, petitioned for the UN do to something and after a year of "Angry Letters" from the UN to Saddam, President Bush enforced the UN Resolution.
Let's dispense with the tin-foil hat conspiracies about President Bush, ok?
Nothing, unless you're wanting other countries to have a stronger military than the United States.
Do you?
In truth, that hatred has existed since prior to President Carter. Terrorist attacks have been launched against us over these years on LOTS of embassies, plane hijackings, bombings, etc. They were ignored by Carter and Clinton. Even the USS Cole was a terrorist attack, also ignored by Clinton. Terrorism and the hatred of the US began LONG before President Bush.
Since we've gone into Afghanistan and Iraq, we have made friends with the Iraqi people. The Kurds in Iraq have named a college after us and even produced a video thanking the United States, hoping for it to get mass play here. It really didn't, as the news media is too busy trying to spin all war as evil while we have a Republican President.
First, I never said that I did not believe that Al Qaeda was responsible for the terrorists attacks. However, I am saying that it is a little strange that we have spent more energy and money on fighting the symptom and not the real threat. The real threat is Bin Laden, but we have spent more time, money, military weapons and artillery into fighting Saddam and not finding the one that has opposed the threat...Bin Laden. I put the quotes around because I was stating their names. I did not mean for it to be as something like sarcastic.
Second, the President himself sat on ABC or one of those networks and clearly said that Iraq never was involved with the attacks and did not pose a threat. I am trying to understand why the President and other leaders of our country choose to hide what is going on in Iraq. Do you know that even in our attempt to blow up Saddam Hussein on March 2003 that we missed and we actually killed civilians instead of him or soldiers.
Third, we have a strong military. Ever since the 1950's when we came out of WWII, we had dominance and power in our military. Dwight D. Eisenhower even warned us about the military-industrial complex that when they take over no one will be able to stop them. When troops die, we send more troops in their place and they end up dying. It's a cycle that is being repeated and no one will stand up and stop what is happening. Ever since WWII, we were feared by Germany, Russia, and others. We are powerful...but a man in Iraq said it best that we are not acting like a powerful nation.
Fourth of all, there may be some people in Iraq that have thanked us. But, in all actuality, if you go there and see the people they have a hatred for us. And, I am afraid that if Iraq continues in their hatred for us they could form an alliance with another nation that does not like us and we could end up in trouble. Bible prophecy talks about this. America has become a nation that is arrogant and too prideful. I love my country because of freedom and liberty. But, we have to fix the problems.
