Texting is dangerous

How many people when they get a cell phone makes sure that it has unlimted texting or at least some plan for texting? All of the teenagers do. They are the people that are most addicted to it. Some people are so bad that it is like the phone controls the person. It is said that texting has turned into the number one major cause of most accidents. What does that say. If people are against talking on your phones then why in the world would it be an different for texting on your phone. That is the worst texting because then you are not even looking at the road, you are to busy reading your phone. The issue of texting would not be that bad if people had self control to put the phone down when they are driving and not pick it back up again until they are done. How many people could actually seperate from their phone for that long. Over the past few days i had a friend that had never texted, and in one day of it he has not put the phone down for 2 minutes. It is not even his phone. That is pretty bad but the sad thing is that he is not the only person. I am sure that a lot of other have the same problem. How sad is that? What is the world coming to? Are we going to get so wrapped up in the technological world that it becomes the only thing that we do? How long do you think a person that is caught up in technology could last if they were stranded somewhere with no technology? I dont think they would know what to do with themselves, yet that is where most people stand today.
