Stereotype

It is amazing to me how many people are getting more and more stereotypical. At school I have ended up with the stereotype of being the "girl with the photographic memory", at work the "only person who doesn't drink or do drugs" and within my group of friends, the "innocent girl". Basically I am the "good girl" and it really bothers me. I will find myself trying to do things that are "bad girl" style just to prove that I am diverse in my life.

So I grew up in a christian home where I was homeschooled and yeah maybe I am innocent and I do have a photographic memory but those things should not make who I am. I have a name, and I make a good friend, just try me.

Try and get to know a person before you give them a "title" and before you put them down for being who they are based on their morals and their background.

thank you! i feel just like this, because I too get stererotyped as the "good girl." I have also tried to do things not be called that. why should people care whether or not i smoke and drink? people are stupid about stereotypes anyway, and i definitely agree that you should get to know people before giving them title. i like to think that i am well rounded, and don't have a label.

i am also stereotyped as the "good girl"..and even though I try and break it and even do things that are definitly not good girl, everyone still calls me inncoent and good girl. Ive learned to accept it I just find it funny when I do something thats kind of on the wild or bad side, im still innocent.

There isnt alot of sterotyping where I live.
