I don't know about everyone else, but when I learned how much of money is going to go to taxes, I freaked out! I have a summer job now but am going to the Air Force Reserves in the fall. How am I supposed to pay my taxes? Put my money in a tripling account at a bank? I think that they should get rid of taxes and just tax the goods that we pay for anyways. That way we can boost the economy because when people have more money, they spend more money. Also, we should trash social security. I am going to be paying for SS out of every paycheck and I will never see that money because the Baby-Boomers will have used it all up. 401K is the way to go! People have to take retirement into their own hands.

Your employer should be withholding tax from your paycheck, and then you should get a W-2 form in the mail, and if you're like most people you won't even have to write a check: the money will already be in the government coffers, and you'll get a refund. Unless of course you're working under the table, or working for a company run by ignorant baboons.
If we trimmed the pork-barrel spending, cut executive pay for political positions and enforced existing regulations about social security and welfare, I think we could solve a lot of problems.

The government is too big to just tax what we buy. If it was smaller like it should be, then we wouldn't need the income tax and all that junk.
The pork-barrel spending will never go away because that's how the politicians show how hard their working in DC (sarcasm) The government is way out of control and I for one blame it on political parties. They are endorsed by companies and people with money and are basically controlled by them because they want their money. If we got rid of political affiliations and voted on the issues instead, I think our government would be better off.

you know what's really funny? taxing your income is illegal. There is no law that states that you are required to pay incame taxes. go watch freedom to facsism and prepare to be amazed.

Yes there is, read the 16th amendment, it give the government the right. I don't agree with it, but it is an amendment.
Yeah, and while I don't doubt that there is some type of truth to what you're saying, Chrishaena, I'm not sure you should base your arguments/opinions solely on a single movie that some might interpret as propaganda.

Basically all movie are propoganda. However it is the indescrepencies (sp?) that the director deliberately uses that weakens the movie.
