Home for Hope

OK! So it is 12:30 and I can’t sleep. I probably won’t post this until later, but right now I’m on my bed with one arm under the pillow, yet somehow still managing to type. My TV is on sleep mode, and my laptop will most likely fall asleep with me tonight, but I am determined to type one more blog even if I don’t get a chance to post it until morning. So here it goes…
Have any of you heard of the Home for Hope Orphanage that is currently being built in Africa. If anyone is looking for a cause to support or is the middle of a community service project and searching for an organization to donate its money too I highly recommend this one. Its goal is to build an orphanage in Nigeria.
Last year my friend and I raised about $700.00 for the orphanage by charging students to put their painted handprint on a wall in our school along with their name and year of graduation. They also put their hand on a banner and it was sent to the orphanage that is being built. It was a rewarding experience to raise that much for children who have so little. Hopefully every little donation will help them towards living a better life than what the people are currently facing there now. I encourage you all to look into this organization. The priest who began this project has spoken at my high school twice and he was very inspiring!
