I am 30 years old and have never cared enough about politics to think I could make a change. Even though it is my right to vote, I never cared about any of the candidates or topics enough to vote. I felt like it was a unchanging and pointless task.
Then something happen in the last year. I suddenly saw myself, a person who never cared or never voted, wanting to make a change, someone to help the American people. This is America and we the American people HAVE that right to vote for someone and something that we believe in. I see people my age who were in the same boat as me, wanting to vote for the first time ever, wanting to participate, wanting to see a change. I saw someone that I felt and still feel has made me WANT to care, WANT to vote,WANT to make that change happen. I am a person of change and believe it is because of Senator Barack Obama.
He speaks words of inspiration, confidence and understanding and that he will do the best that he can to work with, and help the people of the United States. I see him as having a very different approach to people and places of America and the world. I have seem him at rallies, when not knowing an answer or guarantee of something 100%, he will make a point to say so or try to find out the answer. I think he also speaks to families across America, with having the support of his own family with him every step of the way,and family support is important. I want to see him find solutions for problems such as the war in Iraq, gas prices, illegal immigration, health insurance issues, housing mortgages.
I am voting for Senator Barack Obama not because of his race or color or religion but because I believe he is the best candidate for the 44th President of the United States.
