PASSIONATe

There are two main reasons I’m writing this essay. The first is to explain to whoever reads this essay why I’m passionate about getting my degree and what I’m trying to convey to the past generations about my generation. Both topics that I find such an honor and find joy and explicating my point of view in both situations.

First, let me start of with why I am so passionate about obtaining my degree. The most important reason is because I absolutely, refuse to be another black statistic. And when I say black statistic this means I refuse to be another black child who graduated from high school and did nothing with their life. I will not be a young woman with a degree still working in retail. But, what I will be is a young, black female fresh from college pursuing her career in the journalism world. I will also be somebody who enjoys their job and considers it a career. I won’t be somebody who hates to wake up in the morning because they have to go their job.

The second explanation as to why I’m so passionate about this is because I want to set an example. I want to set am example to every young boy or girl that went through the same situation I went through. I want to let them know that with a little guidance, and hard work; all your dreams, goals and aspirations will come true. All you have to do is believe in them and they will come true. If I don’t believe in anything else, I do believe in my JROTC motto, which is I will, I can, I must. But, this applies tome because I say, I will, Ican, I must be the best. This will be the message I share with the world.

And with my last but, far from least case is because it will help me achieve my dream. My dream is to be a world-known journalist, owner and founder of my mown magazine company. I want my magazine company to allow me to travel as well as network with celebrities and other magazine companies. But, before all this is possible, I want to work with someone that is already in the business so when I do create my business, I can know what I’m doing. And whoever I did work for they can be mu mentor.

This concludes the reasons why I feel so passionate about earning my degree. Now I will begin to explain what I am trying to convey to pass generations.

There are many things I want to convey to my elders. So much that I can write about it for hours. But the main reason is to prove that our whole generation is not ruin.

I think that most of the past generations very stereotypical. They stereotype our generation on many things. Some of them are being hustlers, drop-outs, baby-mama, and smart-mouth heathens, to be clean about it prostitutes and pimps. Now while some of might live up to the names our elders have given us however everybody in the generation is not like this. It seems to be that one person messes up the whole generation is blamed for it. Does it make it morally right to shut out the rest of the teenagers for one person’s mistake?

I want them to see even those who made a mistake, still have something on their mind. For example, I know plenty of young girls who have children, who still go to school everyday and they are honor roll students. I’m not promoting teen sex but, I’m saying don’t knock them down because she has a baby. Just continue to encourage her and tell her she still can make it. Talk to her about her faults so she knows not to have another baby at a young age. Not all teenagers are like this. Most are my friends are in Advanced Placement and all of will be attending college.

This concludes my essay both topics. I hope you enjoy reading it as I did writing it. Hopefully, you gained a better understanding of these particular topics from my point-of-view.
Thank you,
Montaria A. Robinson
