Yep, it's seven am, I've been up all night... um, being a typical college student on my campus, you can fill in the blanks there. Anyway, seven am, sun's coming up, birds are chirping, and why would I want to go to bed with such a lovely day approaching? So, I decided to blog instead. The problem is, there are too many subjects I want to blog about right now at this very instant. So please, dear readers (any of you up at seven am), help me! Suggest your favorite topic from those below, or suggest another one that you think would be interesting to me, and I will blog about it!
1. Why skirts are awesome and everyone, including guys, should wear them more often
2. My personal experiences with marijuana and as a result, my beliefs on it
3. The importance of reading to children and encouraging reading, and how it helped me succeed in life
4. Equal rights for women also means equal responsibilities
5. How sexism against women harms men and affects sexism against men
6. "Compensated dating" in Japan
7. Part one of a paper about my experiences growing up lesbian in Israel, and later, my work with GLBT youth.
Help me, fellow bloggers! Remember, you get 10 points just for helping me out with a quick comment!
And please remember, if you see a post by me (or anyone... but especially me because I am, at least on this site, looking after myself first - I need that scholarship money!) that you like, please give it a high rating! I personally am tired of seeing the same posts from like, October on the highest rated list, day after day. It would be nice to see some NEW, good posts (like mine... but doesn't everyone think their posts are good? I do however attempt to be somewhat original, interesting, use correct grammar and spelling and so forth, present a strong argument, cite my sources, and engage readers, which I think are the factors necessary for a good blog post. If you disagree or have suggestions on improving any of my blog posts, please feel free to comment on that as well!) on that list for once.

They're all cool, but the first one seems fun.
"What a man does for pay is of little significance. What he is, as a sensitive instrument responsive to the world's beauty, is everything!"
H. P. Lovecraft
I shall post that in about 5-20 minutes then! (depending on whether I get caught up with some other interesting thing on the internet.) It will be a fairly short piece but will hopefully include links to fascinating articles and images and so forth.
What is compensated dating?
It's basically when a man (or a woman, but nearly always a man) goes on a date with a girl or woman and pays her or gives her gifts in exchange. It's mostly known due to its popularity among junior-high and high-school girls in Japan. Between 10% to 25% (depending on what study you look at) of Japanese high-school girls have engaged in it. Although the date doesn't HAVE to include sex... well... if you're a middle-aged guy wanting to go on a "date" with a girl aged about 12-16... you're not going to want to stay platonic. And if you're a young girl alone with an older guy who's paying you, and you feel obligated, or you're just foolish and naive, you'd probably give in.
Soyeah. Compensated dating.
