America alone uses more than 50% of the earths natural resources, and we hardly put any back. This may not seem like a big deal to a lot of people because they never realize what they're doing when they just throw something in the garbage, it's just second nature.
There are 2 major problems here.....EVERYTHING that is manufactured is essentially MADE to be recycled....We go to McDonald's for example....they wrap our hamburger in recyclable foil, then they put it in a carry bag that is also made to be recycled....the problems are 1. people don't realize they can be recycled and more importantly 2. we dont put enough money into recycling, so even if these products can and should be recycled like a empty carton of eggs it may be illegal in your city to do so.
Besides manufactured recyclable goods, natural resources like trees are not being recycled.....we have global warming and too much carbon dioxide in the environment but if we had enough trees to eat up all that carbon dioxide we can easily over time reverse the effects of global warming..
as a final thought ....these two goods are not dependent on each other but for example....if you recycle 1 can of aluminum it's like saving 30 trees from being cut down...just 1 can
